The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF)
Two of our staff team members, Tom Knowles and Ryan Folan, have been raising money throughout February 2021 for a cause close to their hearts.
'The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) honours the life of Lt John 'JT' Thornton RM, from Ferndown, Dorset, who was tragically killed in southern Afghanistan on 30th March 2008. The JTYAF supports young people from a wide range of youth organisations, providing them with scholarships and bursaries to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.' MAS Adventures challenged these guys!
Originally, they planned to walk a mere 115km throughout February. That's 71.46 miles!
- I mean, c'mon, that's a walk in the park or a walk to work for these guys!
So here's what we said:
'Make it 500kms (310.69 miles) and we will donate a further £100.00
to each of you if you complete the challenge!!'
