FAST TRACK INSTRUCTOR PROGRAMME 2022
Since its foundation in 1987, 4th Dimension has always had a strong commitment to helping enthusiastic learners develop as instructors in the outdoor industry.
In 2019, we developed a highly successful Fast Track Instructor Programme that ran throughout the summer season. New instructors finished the season as fully qualified Climbing Instructors, both indoor and outdoor, PaddleSport Instructors and Expedition Leaders, along with various other relevant NGB qualifications. The majority of those who went through the training now hold senior positions at 4th Dimension as Course Directors, Heads of PaddleSport and DofE Coordinators.
Based in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, we are a busy outdoor centre with over 40 activities on site – from water sports to high and low ropes, climbing and abseiling to zip lines and problem solving. In addition, we run residential courses and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions further afield in areas such as the Peak District, Lake District, North Wales and Dartmoor.
We pride ourselves on delivering top quality, bespoke programmes to our clients and since expanding, we are now looking to recruit additional enthusiastic and hardworking instructors to join our team from April 2022.
Whilst experience with outdoor activities can be an advantage, we are looking for people with the right attitude, outlook and most of all, personality!
It is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate, who is passionate about the outdoors and making a positive change to the lives of others.
We offer high levels of tuition, with a far greater and more varied insight into the industry than some larger providers; and due to the small number of places offered, we can provide a higher level of individual attention.
Accommodation is included for the duration of the programme* and food is provided during times when courses are on site.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th January 2022 from our site on the Ashdown Forest. Food and accommodation will be included throughout the interview process and you will have the opportunity to meet some of the team who have previously been through the process and are now outdoor professionals in their own right.
